INTRODUCTION

To allow Business Owner instantly monitor their salesperson Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Business Owner also be able take immediate action by either of direction
#1 - for what’s working for the salesperson that show shorter in average of sales cycle length and
#2 - put up for coaching or training plan for those show longer in average sales cycle length.
In generally, the shorter average sales cycle length is better in term of Sales Performance for the company. It consists of 4 layers of data setup for this Dashboard Chart
.

 

Avg Sales Cycle in Days (Current Mth) or (Current Qtr) or (Current Yr)

  • Average Sales Cycle Length is the average days taken for an opportunity (NEW) becomes a successful sale (WON).

  • Formula for calculation : Sum of duration taken to won opportunity / Total number of won Opportunity

  • From the chart, you can easily estimate the probability of hitting your monthly sales. Usually, bigger deals will have longer sales cycle length.

This is 1st Layer of Data : This is called Gauge View. Business Owner (BO) / Salesperson (SP) will have different data set to present in Dashboard. BO can view the entire company sales cycle length where SP only can see their own sales cycle length. In this view, user allow to filter by “Month”, “Quarter” or “Year” to respective data to take action. All the data is present in (*Days).


  • Figure shown of the  Top Left (Ex: 11.1)  is represent the Number of Days in average of your total WON in Sales. This meter pointer is associated with the number. 

  • Figure shown on Bottom  Right (Ex: 33)  of the gauge is represent the maximum of days in one of the longest WON in Sales.

  • User may “Click” to this gauge meter to navigate to next layer for more details breakdown for action .

                            Avg Sales Cycle in Days (Current Yr) : 1st Layer

This is 2nd Layer of Data : This is called Graph View. There are 3 different period of data chart which come from gauge meter “Month” or “Quarter” or “Year” to help BO/SP for making a quick decision to turn for next action by looking at :

  • Month - “Len-CM”, “Size-CM”, “Len-LM” and “Size-LM”

  • Quarter - “Len-CQ”, “Size-CQ”, “Len-LQ” and “Size-LQ”

  • Year - “Len-CY”, “Size-CY”, “Len-LY” and “Size-LY”

Salesperson Avg Sales Length (C. Mth or C.Qtr or C.Yr) :

  • Len-CM, Len-CQ, Len-CY : This Bar Chart is helps to summarize for each sales person in their Average of sales cycle length for the Current Month, Quarter or Year.

  • The arrangement of this chart is based on longest average sales cycle length to shortest sales cycle length.

  • If the value of the shorter bar has less than 10% of the highest value, System will help to fix the bar length with minimum length so that user can easily hover the bar to show the value. Otherwise, the shorter bar length will be too tiny for user to read.

  • In this chart, only Top 10 salesperson data will be presented by individual and rest is group as “Others”.

  • Data consists of “Days to Win” and “No. Count” in the average sales cycle length when user click on each sales person.

  • Navigation to get more details :

    • Desktop View : User can “mouse over” to the stage to view each data point.

    • Mobile View : User can “Tap” on the stage to view each data point.

                          Salesperson Avg Sales Cycle Length  (C.Yr) : 2nd Layer

Salesperson Avg Deal Size (C.Mth or C.Qtr or C.Yr)

  • Size-CM, Size-CQ, Size-CY : This Bar Chart is helps to summarize for each sales person in their average of Deal Size for the Current Month, Quarter or Year.

  • The arrangement of this chart is based on highest average sales amount to lowest sales amount.

  • If the value of the shorter bar has less than 10% of the highest value, System is help to fix the bar length with minimum length so that user can easily hover the bar to show the value. Otherwise, the shorter bar length will be too tiny for user to read.

  • In this chart, only Top 10 salesperson data will be presented by individual data and rest is group as “Others”.

  • Data consists of “Amount” and “No. Count” in the average sales cycle length when user click on each sales person.

Salesperson Avg Sales Length (L.Mth, L.Qtr, L.Yr) & Salesperson Avg Deal Size (L.Mth, L.Qrt. L.Yr) 

  • This is similar data set as above except is refer to Last Month, Last Quarter or Last Year of Average Sales Cycle Length and Average Deal Size for Salesperson

This is 3rd Layer of Data : This is call Kanban View. There are 2 different data set from this session, by either from Current (Month, Quarter, Year or Last (Month, Quarter, Year). Each data set can be represented in 2 different view (Kanban or List) which data is No. of total count “WON” Opportunity.

  • This is to indicate of all activity under this Salesperson where some may Overdue (Red) or Planned (Green).

  • User can use “Group By” or “Filters” or “Favorites” function to further breakdown of data.

This is 4th Layer of Data : This is call Action View (aka: Form View). This form view is to display all details information of particular opportunity which in won stage.

  • Below is shown for opportunity form view

    • User can Edit to amend any information.

    • User can refer more information related to this opportunity form in CRM user guide.
